MARCUS Browne will not be joining Charlton Athletic after the London club pulled out of a move, according to reports.
The South London Press has been told that Charlton closely scrutinised a deal for the former Oxford United loanee but eventually decided the switch was not right for them at this point.
Reports suggested last week that Charlton had agreed a deal to sign the Middlesbrough attacker, who has not played since suffering an ACL injury last January.

The Oxford Mail understood Charlton offered a very competitive financial package to the 24-year-old, with the U’s known to have had firm interest for some time.
The two-time United loanee was given the green light to leave Middlesbrough this window, by former U’s boss Chris Wilder.
Browne first joined in the 2018/19 campaign on loan from West Ham United, before spending the second half of the following season on loan from Middlesbrough.
He scored 14 goals in 60 games across both spells with the U’s.
Browne was linked with a switch to United in December, and boss Karl Robinson said he was the calibre of player the club would look to sign in the January window.
