OXFORD United’s Sky Bet League One trip to Wigan Athletic has been rearranged for Tuesday, February 1 (7.45pm).
The fixture was due to be played on Saturday, November 20, but was postponed less than four hours before kick-off following a Covid outbreak in the U’s camp.
United are urging fans to keep their tickets for the original game as they hope to announce a ‘goodwill gesture’ before the rescheduled match.
Anyone unable to attend on February 1 can claim a refund by contacting the club’s ticket office.
The English Football League continues to review the circumstances of the original postponement and is ‘engaging with both clubs on the matter’, a spokesperson told the Oxford Mail this week.
The new date comes three days after United travel to Gillingham in League One, with Portsmouth visiting the Kassam Stadium the following Saturday.
