KARL Robinson says there are a couple of doubts surrounding how ready his players are after those who caught Covid-19 returned to training this week.
The U’s squad was hit by an outbreak of the virus which saw depleted squads for the games at home to Fleetwood Town and Rotherham United.
Despite the setback, United took four points from those games and now head to Sunderland with the players who contracted coronavirus back in training.
However, Robinson said the players are at different stages in their recovery following the 10-day isolation period.

He said: “We’re in a little bit of a better place obviously but when people come out of isolation after 10 days, they’ll tell you that on days 11 and 12, they’re not feeling 100 per cent going back to work.
“Not only are they going back to work, but they have to perform and be physically questioned.
“It’s hard, some breeze through it and some not so much.
“There’s one or two situations we’re finding ourselves in.”

With Connal Trueman returning to Birmingham City following his emergency loan, Robinson also has a dilemma in goal.
Jack Stevens is in full training but Robinson doesn’t want to rush him back following his bout of glandular fever.
Robinson said: “Easty’s [Simon Eastwood] trained yesterday and he’ll be back to full training today.
“Jack is back in full training this week as well.
“With glandular fever, there’s different aspects of the recovery you want to get right.
“Could he go on the bench? Possibly, but if something happens in the first two or three minutes, you’re asking someone who maybe isn’t 100 per cent fit.
“These are things we’ll talk about internally.”
