OXFORD City goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski has signed a new one-year deal with the club after a string of impressive performances between the posts last season.

The 25-year-old scooped the Vanarama National League South player of the month award in January.

Speaking after signing his new contract with the Hoops, Dudzinski said: “I’m really pleased, and excited for the season ahead.

“Whilst it was cut short, last season was great.”

Dudzinski joined City in September last year, following a spell at Sutton United.

Despite his own personal performances, Dudzinski is hoping the team as a whole can push on this campaign.

He said: “I’m more concerned about the collective group and bettering what we did last season.

“The only way we’re going to do that is to continue to work as hard as we did last season.

“A lot of things can happen in football but as long as we work hard, we’ll have every chance.”

David Oldfield’s side face Oxford United in a friendly tomorrow, and Dudzinski is looking forward to playing in front of fans after appearing just once before City supporters.

“It’ll be a really good test for us, it’ll certainly require a lot of stamina from the boys,” he said.
