OXFORD United have asked Josh Ruffels to decide on his future soon, says Karl Robinson.
The left back has not signed the contract he was offered earlier in the season, with his current deal set to expire in the coming weeks.
Ruffels, 27, is the highest-profile player United are yet to tie down, having made 318 appearances since joining from Coventry City in 2013.
Meanwhile, Robinson appeared to rule out interest in former U’s forward Chris Maguire, who has been released by Sunderland.

United opened talks with Ruffels several months ago and want the situation resolved to remove uncertainty over their summer recruitment.
“That’s the one thing we have asked,” head coach Robinson said.
“From our point of view, we know where we’re at.
“We know what’s going on and we’ll be speaking over the weekend.
“We requested a resolution and Josh deep down is an Oxford fan.
“We’ve had some good conversations, but we also respect the situation.”
Ruffels has been an ever-present under Robinson, playing 156 games since the U’s boss took over in March 2018.
The Oxford-born defender featured another 48 times this season as he moved into 20th place in United’s all-time list of appearances.
He also scored seven goals – his best tally in a single campaign – and claimed six assists as the U’s reached the Sky Bet League One play-offs for the second successive year.
But while long-serving teammate Simon Eastwood and Sam Long have agreed new deals, Ruffels’ future remains unclear and Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest are thought to be interested.
Analysis: Retained list is mixed bag for Oxford United's youngsters
United announced their retained list on Tuesday, with out-of-contract duo Anthony Forde and John Mousinho also offered fresh terms, along with Leon Chambers-Parillon and Kyran Lofthouse.
Of this season’s League One sides, only play-off finalists Blackpool and Lincoln City are yet to announce who they will be releasing.
Former U’s favourite Maguire will leave Sunderland this summer, but Robinson suggested the 32-year-old was not on his radar.
He said: “I didn’t even know he was available, that’s not one that’s come to me.
“We have a number of different options that we’re looking at.”
