RECALLED centre back Mickey Corcoran believes the U's can build on their back-to-back shut-outs, even though there was some disappointment that they couldn't make it a perfect Christmas by beating Kidderminster.

"It's always good to keep a clean sheet and that's two in two for us now," he said.

"Any sort of victory today would have been brilliant for the boys, but it wasn't to be."

Harriers are one of a pack of clubs, like Oxford, chasing a play-off place, and they had come into the fixture in good form.

"The whole team concentrated on trying to keep a clean sheet and then we were just trying to nick it," Corcoran said.

"It was difficult conditions, the wind played a major factor in the game.

"Four points from six isn't too bad. If we can build on this, we can start climbing the table again.

"At the end of the day, a 0-0 result against that kind of team is not too bad."

Corcoran only got his chance because Luke Foster was serving a one-match ban, and the Ulsterman may have to drop back down to the bench again at Crawley tomorrow with Foster available again.

"I'd of course liked to have played every game possible, but it's the gaffer's decision," he said.

"Luke has been brilliant this season and fair play to him. I just want to come in and do what I can, and get myself back into the team.

"I thought the four of us at the back did very well today."
