Striker Mark Simms struck a hat-trick as North Leigh maintained their Sport Italia Hellenic League title challenge with a hard-earned 3-1 Premier Division victory against Bicester on Saturday.

Simms, signed from Abingdon Town last month, latched on to Chris Allen's cross to give North Leigh an early lead.

Bicester equalised after 19 minutes, when Ben Williams netted from close range following their first corner.

Just before half-time, Simms restored the hosts' lead when heading Jamie Jackson's cross past keeper Jeff Simmonds.

In a quiet second half, Allen drilled a low cross for Simms to complete his hat-trick.

Wantage Town recovered from an early blow to secure a notable 4-2 win away to their high-riding opponents Flackwell Heath.

Myron Ramsey jinked round keeper Luke Alford to give Flackwell their expected lead.

But Wantage, inspired by manager Richie Bourne and his assistant Andy Wallbridge, scored twice before the break, through Ellis Langford's header and a hooked-in shot from Adam Learoyd.

Wantage made it 3-1 when Nathan Hall reacted quickest after Learoyd's header had struck the bar and bounced down.

In a hectic last five minutes, Flackwell scored twice through Matt Jarvis and Ramsey, either side of a goal by Wantage's talented winger Tom Austin.

A bumper crowd of 179 saw Witney United twice come from behind to snatch a point, in a 2-2 draw which featured an amazing goal from Kidlington'sDanny Wise.

Hosts Kidlington took the lead when Mark Baker slotted the ball between keeper Lee Farrow's legs.

Andy Marriott equalised with a powerful far-post header following a disputed corner.

Then Wise, who was standing just inside the centre circle, hit a speculative shot which looped over the back-pedalling Farrow and into the net to restore Kidlington's lead.

Witney raised their game after the break and equalised when Luke Brandon hit an exquisite shot into the far top corner of the net, giving the despairing Steve Benbow no chance.

Milton United coach Mattie Whitehead's rare outing was marked by a goal as his side buried the Ardley bogey with a handsome 4-2 win.

Whitehead netted after four minutes, and Jemel Johnson's shot, which deflected in off two defenders, soon made it 2-0.

Adam Hamp's header from a corner brought Ardley back into the game, but Glyn Jones's curling free-kick round a wall restored Milton's two-goal advantage.

Robbie Sadler made it 4-1 in the second half, before Steve Garbutt headed home near the end to give some Ardley consolation.
