Oracle surprised Fieldside 4-1 in the quarter-finals of the Oxford & District League's Stephen Reiss Cup.
Fieldside took the first game when Paul Robinson (-50) saw off Pete Machonochie (+60) 200-154.
David Noake (+70), making one of his rare appearances for Oracle, surprisingly levelled the match by beating Simon Aries (-50) 200-139.
In the final game, Oracle's newcomer Gordon Cook (+100) held off the threat of Bob Chivers (-30) to win 200-169, making the aggregate score 554-508.
New Club's 4-1 win over CCC A was the closest as they won on aggregate by only ten points, 505-495.
Alan King (+40) got them off to a flier when he defeated Arthur Coakley (+90) 200-163.
Ian Gee (+50) beat Dick Hashman (-10) 200-182, but CCC's Keith Pearce (+60) held off Dave White (+80) 150-105.
However, White had scored enough points to give New Club the win on aggregate.
Eynsham enjoyed a fine 4-1 win over Thame.
MickMcCluskey (+90) beat Peter Hawkes (+125) 150-89, and then Geoff Watson (+90) won a real thriller 150-149 against Tom Fletcher (+70).
Lawrence Parsons (+90) hung on against Nigel Bossom (+30) and although losing 200-137, he got enough points to give Eynsham an aggregate win of 487-438.
Due to illness, the match between CCC B and Riley was postponed.
In the semi-finals set for March, New Club will play Eynsham and Oracle face the winner of CCC B versus Riley.
- Morris Motors will be playing their 'home' games at Rileys until further notice.
Results - Stephen Reiss Cup 2nd round: Oracle 4, Fieldside 1 (554-508); New Club 4, CCC A 1 (505-495), Eynsham 4, Thame 1 (487-438).
- The second round of the Atox Cup will be played on January 2.
Morris Motors host Fieldside, Eynsham are at home to Riley, Thame visit Ashton, while Oracle versus CCC A is to be rearranged.
