LUKE McNally represented Oxford United for the first time as he helped the Under 21s beat Bristol Rovers 4-3 in a friendly this afternoon.
The centre back underwent a mini pre-season after signing from Irish side St Patrick’s Athletic in January, before joining full training last week.
McNally, 21, impressed during his hour on the pitch, while Rob Hall played half that time after he was withdrawn following a strong challenge.

The U’s forward has not started a first-team game since the 2-0 Papa John's Trophy defeat to Tranmere Rovers on February 16 and hit the crossbar from an early free-kick.
United did not have to wait long to break the deadlock, though, as Michael Elechi scored a stunning opener from 25 yards.
Luca Hoole equalised for the visitors, but captain Leon Chambers-Parillon quickly restored the advantage when he struck under pressure.
Dylan Asonganyi finished a move started by McNally to make it 3-1 four minutes after the break – a third player with first-team experience on the scoresheet.
The former MK Dons youngster later won a penalty dispatched by Callum Crook, but only after Harry Warwick had scored Rovers’ second.
Hoole scored his second with 20 minutes left, but United held firm to claim a thrilling triumph.
