Goalkeeper James Domm punches clear under pressure from Stonesfield's Matt Tarry during Carterton's victory
Stonesfield Sports gave a tremendous account before slipping to a 4-3 penalty shoot-out defeat at the hands of Hellenic League Premier Division side Carterton in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup second round.
Chris Jordan fired Stonesfield in front in the tenth minute.
But two goals in the space of two minutes from Chris Blakely and Toby Goodchild put Carterton 2-1 in front.
Fifteen minutes from time, Stuart Paice levelled for Stonesfield to take the game into extra time.
With no further goals, the game went to the shoot-out, which Carterton edged through after Stonesfield missed twice from the spot.
