RS Baits held their latest Boddington Cup match on a windswept Boddington Reservoir where the 15 matchmen found the going pretty hard as the cold weather made the carp go off the pellet.

Tomorrow sees the final match in this year's Oxford Division Angling Times Winter League, which is on the Oxford Canal between Wolvercote Lock and Walton Well Road, so last Sunday, 50 matchmen turned up to fish a practice open.
After the rain, the canal was well coloured and had some flow, but fished very well and every section except one was won with over 4lb.
Sat above Black Bridge at Wolvercote, Steve Johnson (Drennan Oxford) took skimmers and roach on the punch and perch on the chop for a winning 13.9.0.

The canal at Grovelands was the venue for Kidlington's Christmas Match, where 12 members turned out.
Using the pole with chopped worm, Alan Steele landed two chub worth 3lb, then went on to the punch to tempt small roach, gudgeon and skimmers for a winning 7.0.0.
Henry Clarke used bloodworm over joker for 4.6.0 of small roach and second place, followed by Jason Bean with a perch worth 1lb, plus some small roach for 3.8.8.

o Sandford Lock was the venue for Littlemore's S Denny Shield where a solitary fish caught by Ken Franklin gave him his second win of the season.
The fish was a nice bream of 4.14.0 taken on groundbait feeder and red maggot.
John Davies caught roach steadily and had a bonus 2lb perch, but lost two fish in the last hour and had to settle for second with 4.11.0, followed by Alan Campbell with 0.8.0.
The Thames at Benson was still in its banks but rising for Benson's Vic Wellsey Memorial and Christmas Match.
Fishing the groundbait feeder with maggot, Mick Marriott topped the five-strong field with a gudgeon and a roach for 0.5.0.
Ray Dandridge also got in among the gudgeon and roach and for 0.4.0, followed by Dave Head with 0.2.0.
