The Oxford United Girls Centre of Excellence has been one of the club's major success stories this season.
The centre runs teams from under 10s through to under 16s and all the teams are doing well.
The under 16s, who play in the East region of their league and, therefore, often have to travel long distances to places like Ipswich and Cambridge, are third in the table, though they have had a lot of draws.
There are often 40-50 girls training on the all-weather pitches at Oxford Hawks Hockey Club's Banbury Road North base and at Tilsley Park, Abingdon.
And they are always on the look-out for new players.
Anyone interested should contact Richard Blackmore through Oxford United.
