Oxford ladies stayed top of Midlands 1 following a 19-5 home victory over Whitchurch.
The pitch was only just playable in the wet conditions, but Oxford started well.
Centre Kate Warner set up Emilie Astley-Arlington for their first try.
Warner's centre partner Carolyn Gray burst through and rounded the full back to score try No 2, which Alice Massey converted.
Whitchurch hit back with a try from a powerful rolling maul.
In the second half, the weather turned for the worse and so did the standard of play.
Whitchurch pinned Oxford in their own half with a well-executed kicking game.
But in a rare foray, Warner added a third try, with Massey converting.
- Banbury Under 13s pipped Towcestrians in a double-header.
Josh Megson scored a try in a 5-5 draw in match one, while scores from Drew Venter and Jake Gardener saw Banbury take match two 10-5.
