Corner House A moved into the third round of the Buildbase Oxford & District League Scotland Ash Cup with an impressive 4-1 home win against Masons A.
Victory was built on fine victories from Ian Moss (5,450), Bob Allsworth (8,010), Mike Jones (9,660) and Alan Oliver (4,040).
Nelson came up trumps following an excellent win at Horse & Harrow.
After losing the first game they recovered well with wins by Steven Sheard (9,440, break 9,130), Pauline Withey (7,360, break 6,400), Ray Sturgess (9,680) and the reliable Keith Sheard with a 10,870 break.
Shelley Arms crashed out of the Plate Competition at the first-round stage after they were thrashed 5-0 by Gladiators A.
Pete Witney (3,280), Bert Lovegrove (6,240), Bob Pincombe (4,380), Frank Cox (5,720) and Keith Gardner (10,430) were the winners.
Democrats reached the third round with a 4-1 success at home to Portcullis.
Brian French (6,660), John Patey (5,710), Bob Parsons (3,860) and Terry Green (4,390) put them firmly in the driving seat with victory in their first four games.
Port's Terry Alder won the last game, scoring 9,600.
Cavalier also went through after a 4-1 home win against Headington Con Club.
Dave Turner (2,010), Roger Billison (2,450), Alan Coleman (3,080) and Brian Mimms (3,470) were their victors for Cavalier.
