OXFORD United's first-team squad returned a clean bill of health from yesterday's coronavirus tests.

A total of 44 players and staff were swabbed as part of a mandatory round of English Football League testing, with 43 negative results.

One member of the club's support staff tested positive for the virus despite showing no symptoms and is now self-isolating.

U's head coach Karl Robinson said: "Our doctors looked at all the permutations in relation to close contact (with players) and it doesn't affect anybody else.

"We send them our wishes and we're sure they'll be okay. 

"We've just got to make sure we keep doing the right things.

"It's important we keep our eye on the ball and we don't get sloppy with the things we do within the building.

"I'm really proud of Amy (Cranston) and James Baldock and all of our medical team - they've been incredible. There's been little things along the way that we know we've all made little mistakes here and there.

"For most of the time the people at the club have been excellent."
