Chipping Norton director of rugby Andy Dawson could not fault his players' effort against top-class opponents Hartpury College.
He said: "I was delighted with the boys. They battled hard and gave as good as they got.
"Whenever we made a mistake, we were punished.
"It didn't matter if we were five metres from their line or five metres from our line.
"Their last try was a classic example. They had so much pace and power.
"They starved us of the ball in the lineout.
"In my heart of hearts I knew we didn't have that much of a chance.
"They knew they were going to be in for a battle.
"I think Drifters need to watch out next week as the boys want to get back on track."
