Oxford has lost one its best loved greyhounds with the death of Seskin Judy this week.

Trainer Angie Kibble reported the demise of Judy, who died of cancer aged 12 years old.

Kibble, who enjoyed enormous success with the bitch, said: "She was undoubtedly the best bitch I have ever trained."

She was the pride of the Bampton kennels, producing 30 puppies and had a remarkable record of every one grading, and at least a couple of each litter were open race winners.

Kibble added: "The best of the bunch was probably Vision of Victory, who reached the final of the Milton Keynes Derby where he suffered a broken leg."

In her prime, Seskin Judy was a track record-holder at Sandy Lane, won the Coronation Cup at Romford - one of the most prestigious races for bitches in the calendar - and was a Pall Mall finalist.

Without doubt, she was the best all-round bitch seen at Oxford over the past 25 years, and owners the Nixon brothers, Mike and Bob, can be rightly proud of her achievements, More bad news for the kennel came when Billie Collins, kennel-hand to Angie Kibble, lost her retired hound Pusher Lassie, who died last week.
