Sandford St Martin booked their place at the Oxford Indoor League finals night on Tuesday, December 18, with an excellent fielding display.

In their first game against Banbury, they were in trouble after setting a small total of only 63, Richard Murrey top-scoring with 19.

But Banbury succumbed to 48 all out, as Sandford managed four run-outs to win by 15 runs.

Excellent bowling and fielding by Sandford secured them top spot when they thumped Bicester & North Oxford by five wickets.

Bicester were shot out for just 17, and Sandford cruised to victory.

Banbury also qualified for the final, after beating Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts.

Nondies posted 85, but Ian Hawtin (25no), Luke Ryan (20no) and Ollie Murrey (14no) saw Banbury home by three wickets.

In the dead rubber, Nondies set a record score of 124-4 against Bicester, before bowling out their opponents for just 53 in reply.

RESULTS: Oxford & Bletch Nondies 85-3 (P Mukerjef 27, T Rattigan 20no), Banbury 87-3 (I Hawtin 25, L Ryan 20no); Sandford St Martin 63, Banbury 48; Ox & Bletch Nondies 125-4 (P Makherjef 43, T Rattigan 38no), Bicester & NO 53; Bicester & NO 17, Sandford St Martin 18-1.

The winners of the Oxfordshire finals night will take on the Berkshire champions early in the new year.
