OXFORD City suffered their first Vanarama National South defeat of the season as Hampton & Richmond Borough won 2-0 at Court Place Farm.
The visitors went ahead on 29 minutes, when Niko Muir delivered from out wide and Ruaridh Donaldson smashed the ball into the net.
Luis Fernandez headed wide from a corner as City looked for a way back into the game six minutes before half-time.
Goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski denied Hampton’s Tyrell Miller Rodney a minute after the restart.
Aaron Drewe came within inches of an equaliser as the game headed into the closing stages.
But Jake Gray wrapped up the points seven minutes from time, as City slipped to eighth.
Shaquille McDonald’s double ended Banbury United’s hopes of adding a Buildbase FA Trophy run to their Emirates FA Cup adventure.
The forward struck twice in four minutes late in the first half to put hosts Tamworth in charge of the third qualifying round tie.
Banbury pushed hard after the break and got back into the game when Jaanai Gordon scored against his former club 14 minutes from time.
It set up a frantic finish, but Tamworth held out to win 2-1.
Kidlington also bowed out, despite winning 2-1 against Moneyfields with 87 minutes gone.
Callum Harvey’s opener was cancelled out before
half-time, but Jacob Davidge struck midway through the second half for what looked like being the opener.
However, Tom Franklin’s red card allowed Moneyfields to come on strongly, scoring in the 88th and 90th minutes and go through.
Didcot Town’s visit to Barton Rovers in Division One Central of the Southern League was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
