Oxfordshire bowlers starred at the British Isles Short Mat Championships.
Trevor Brown (Didcot Con Club) claimed the individual fours title with teammates from Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, while Michael Keevil (Wallingford) and David Wiggins (Wootton) were runners-up in the pairs.
Brown's team, compromising Steve McAlister (Bucks), Leigh Hall (Northants) and Kevin Goodman (Bucks), swept aside Isle of Man 17-1 in their opening match.
After beating Scotland 9-5, they then saw off Wales 14-5 to set up a clash with Ireland in the final.
There was nothing between the sides throughout, and after nine ends the scores were tied at 6-6.
The deciding end saw Brown draw the winning shot, and then block the remaining Irish shot to clinch the narrowest of wins.
Keevil and Wiggins produced an even more gutsy performance to claim their crown.
After starting with a 16-10 win over Isle of Man, they needed a single shot on the final end to draw 12-12 and stay in the competition.
In their next match, they fell 7-1 behind against Ireland, but won the next seven legs to lead 8-7.
However, the Irish skip produced a superb take-out shot to leave his side with three shots and victory.
It left Keevil and Wiggins with a clash against Wales where they triumphed 20-11 to claim the runners-up spot.
