Wallingford coach Chris Norrington was keeping his feet on the ground after another solid home victory.
He said: "To turn over a side that has played consistently at this level has got to be a good thing.
"Looking at the game in isolation, we didn't get as much going as we would have liked, but conditions were a big factor in that.
"We still have to learn to play a bit better in bad weather because there will be more days like these.
"We looked to take them on more in the forwards after the break and straighten our lines of running."
