OXFORD City supporters will not be allowed in for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Royal Wootton Bassett.
Only home fans can watch the second qualifying round clash after the FA decided to ban followers of “elite” clubs this weekend.
Sides competing in the top two steps of the league system – the Vanarama National League, plus National Leagues North and South – are considered “elite”.
But those at tier three and below are considered “non-elite” and can admit fans if they are playing at home.
While City are in National League South, their opponents play at step five in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.
City tweeted: “Any Oxford City fans who travel will be refused entry, with strict checks taking place on the turnstiles. We completely understand, and feel your disappointment.”
Supporters who have already bought tickets will be refunded.
The ruling could affect Oxford United, who enter the competition at the first round proper in November, as home fans would be allowed to enter if the U’s visited a “non-elite” club.
