OXFORD City have signed teenage striker Jacob Bancroft with their first competitive match of the season on the horizon.
The former Swindon Town youngster, who made one appearance for The Robins, bolsters boss David Oldfield’s attacking options ahead of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup second qualifying round tie at Royal Wootton Bassett Town.
The 19-year-old had loan spells at Salisbury FC, Wantage Town and Thatcham Town in 2019/20 and featured in all four of City’s pre-season friendlies.
Oldfield’s men kick-off the Vanarama National League South campaign at home to Bath City next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, North Leigh host Oxfordshire rivals Thame United in BetVictor Southern League Division 1 Central tonight.
Table-toppers Didcot Town visit AFC Dunstable.
