Once a month, a group of sea anglers from Oxford and Bicester travel down to the Isle of Wight for a couple of days' fishing.
The group comprises Tony Middleton, Dave Bartlett, John Brew, Paul Raffell and Roger Prowton, and on their last trip they were aboard the Dolcie T.
Raffell, on only his second trip, landed a 33lb cod, which is believed to be the largest caught off the Needles in the last four years.
Successful bait was squid and they were fishing over rough ground.
The other other members of the group also did well with Middleton landing a 15lb cod, Bartlett a 12lb thornback ray, Brew a 8lb smoothhound and Prowton an 8lb bass.
