When he came on as a substitute last Saturday, Ashley Barnes was, incredibly, the 11th different striker Oxford United have fielded this season - and we're only in November!
The previous ten were: Rob Duffy, Joel Ledgister, Yemi Odubade, Gary Twigg, Marvin Robinson, Paul Shaw, Jordan Rhodes, Alex Fisher, Kieron St Aimie and Matt Green.
The Bath-born forward was understandably delighted to get off the mark so quickly, within 20 minutes of coming on.
"I just held off the defender and span around and got into the box, which you always score goals from," he said.
"I moved and pulled the defender away then shot back in, held off the player when the ball came in and headed it in. It was just a little glance because I was near post.
"The goal came at a good time because Kidderminster were putting loads of pressure on. Maybe they could have sneaked one, but I felt we defended really well, from the front, the back, everywhere.
"I was very pleased with my debut because I've only been here 24 hours.
"It was quite physical at times, the tackles were flying in from anywhere and everywhere," he added.
"I like a little battle with defenders, though, it was good."
Barnes had just one regret about last weekend. His family weren't around to see him get his first Blue Square Premier goal.
"No, my family didn't come down today," he said. "I was a bit upset about that, but my little sister had something on and they were doing stuff with her."
OXFORD United's youth team have been drawn at home to Colchester United in the third round of the Puma Youth Alliance Cup after their penalty shoot-out win over Cheltenham. The tie is not until February.
