MOLLY Peters and Kayleigh Hines scored doubles as Oxford United Women began their pre-season in style.
Sophie Baker, Lauren Haynes, Daisy McLachlan and a trialist were also on target in an 8-1 victory against Dulwich Hamlet.
It came before today’s announcement the FA Women’s National League will begin on September 20.
The Londoners went ahead, but Peters’ brace settled the U’s down on their first outing for more than five months.
After going ahead, they did not look back.
A trialist stretched the advantage, before Baker’s neat finish made it 4-1.
Skipper Haynes then got in on the act, before Hines struck twice, before McLachlan wrapped up a comfortable win.
United boss Liam Gilbert told the club’s website: “Dulwich gave us a really good test, a good challenge.
“A physical team, I think that they’ll do really well in their league next year although they weren’t just a physical team, they try to play some good football and do things the right way.”
Before the game, another member of last season’s squad signed on for the new season.
Defender Ellie Kirby said: “Even being injured last season, as a player I’ve improved. But also the group of girls make it so enjoyable.”
Next up they face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
