Banbury United lacked a cutting edge as they lost 2-0 at home to Kings Lynn in the British Gas Business Southern League Premier Division.
Two goals from Jack Defty did the damage as Banbury's seven-game unbeaten run came to an end.
There was little action before the unmarked Defty headed home for the vistors on 22 minutes.
Nicky Gordon looked Banbury's most likely scorer with shots in each half, but Andy Wheeler was the busier keeper.
Defty wrapped up the points on 87 minutes, although Lynn substitute Daniel Buhlemann hit the bar late on.
Banbury: Wheeler, Travers, Kinch, Essex, Baird, Fuller (Bryan 72), Feely, Blossom, Murphy (Gooderick 53), Gordon (Milner 81), Stanbridge. Subs not used: Nicholls, Bridges.
Att: 242.
