- September 21: Off the mark in the 6-0 thrashing of Lincoln City.
- September 25: Putting United 2-0 up with another close-range finish and on the way to a memorable Carabao Cup win against West Ham United.
- September 28: A third goal in eight days, this time against Gillingham. It was the first of seven assists he received from James Henry.
- October 8: Opening the scoring in the Leasing.com Trophy draw with Portsmouth.
- October 19: A crucial winner against Rotherham United.
- November 2: Another big goal, this time in stoppage time to claim a point at Fratton Park in front of the travelling fans.
- November 23: A double against struggling Southend United to help the U's to a rare win at Roots Hall.
- December 18: A second goal of the season against top-flight opposition, this time an equaliser against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
- January 4: Burying a penalty against Hartlepool United in the Emirates FA Cup third round.
- February 11: A late poacher's effort to claim a point at Burton Albion.
- February 18: A double in the 5-0 rout of AFC Wimbledon.
- February 22: Bagging the only goal of the game at Ipswich Town, to Nathan Holland's delight.
- February 25: A second successive midweek brace at the Kassam Stadium, Accrington Stanley the victims.
- February 29: Taylor's seventh goal of the month, this time a sharp, decisive finish to beat Southend United.
