Banbury Utd 2 (Murphy 36, 65)
Bromsgrove Rovers 1 (Ball 80)
A brace from Matt Murphy saw Banbury United stretch their unbeaten run to seven matches in Saturday's Southern League Premier Division clash.
Without the suspended Ben Milner and the unavailable Andy Baird, Banbury took the lead when former Oxford United midfielder Murphy headed home after the Rovers' keeper Karl Lewis could only parry Stuart Bridges fierce shot from the edge of the penalty area.
Just before the break, Bromsgrove almost pulled a goal back when Richard Ball saw his 25-yard effort hit the woodwork.
Twenty minutes into the second-half, Murphy doubled his tally, firing an unstoppable shot across the face of Lewis and into the far corner.
Bromsgrove pulled a goal back ten minutes from time when Ball's shot deflected off Blossom.
Banbury Utd: Wheeler, Travers, Kinch, Essex, Blossom, Fuller, Feely, Stanbridge, Murphy, Bryan (Gordon 63), Bridges (Nicholls 68). Subs not used: Gooderick, Ibrahim, Sambrook.
Attendance: 301
