Abingdon Amateur Boxing Club are looking for help from businesses and individuals after being granted permission to build their own gym.
The club have always relied on the children to pay for the cost of hiring training venues, but after getting the thumbs-up from planners, are now looking to ensure they have a permanant base on Caldecott Recreation Ground.
Head coach Robert Southey is keen to attract new faces as he tries to lead the club into a new era.
"The club has always created opportunities for local youths to progress to higher levels," he said.
"But to enable the club to go ahead and start building their own gymnasium, we need help towards the building.
"Any donations, materials or sponsorship would be gratefully received and I urge people to get in contact with me."
Southey can be contacted on 01235 525492.
