Berinsfield bantamweight Danny Reed goes for glory today when he takes part in the ABA Novice Junior Championship finals in Manchester.
And he will be joined by Oxford Boxing Academy bantamweight Jordan Otwell.
Reed, who turns 16 next month, beat Stephen Fox, from Bideford, on a unanimous points decision in Bristol to book his place in the final.
And the youngster fully deserves his place on the Class A 54kg card, according to his coach Mel Corrigan.
"It was an awesome display to get there," Corrigan said.
"The points decision was 27-12 so you can tell it was a one-sided fight.
"He is a little power-packed guy and deserves this so much."
Reed landed several big right hands which rocked his opponent, who could not get in any telling blows of his own.
Otwell, bidding to double-up after winning the flyweight title eight months ago, will take on Joshua Blackwood of William Perry ABC (West Midlands).
Meanwhile, Otwell's clubmates, Sam Pearce and Declan Townsend all won in the last week.
All 400 tickets for Oxford Boxing Academy's first dinner show of the season at the Kassam Stadium on Friday, November 30 have been sold.
