WYCOMBE Wanderers thrashed nine-man Fleetwood Town 4-1 in tonight’s other Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final first leg.
The Chairboys were 2-1 up after just six minutes, with Nnamdi Ofoborh and an own goal from home keeper Alex Cairns sandwiching Ched Evans’s penalty.
Fleetwood’s Lewis Coyle was sent off for a high challenge inside his own box late in the first half, but Joe Jacobson missed the spot-kick.
It did not matter, as David Wheeler and Alex Samuel found the net, with Paddy Madden also red-carded.
The second leg takes place at Adams Park on Monday evening, after Oxford United host Portsmouth at the Kassam Stadium.
