OXFORD United boss Darren Patterson has confirmed youth team manager Mickey Lewis as his assistant.
Patterson said he was delighted that Lewis, 44, who was No 2 at Doncaster Rovers, had decided to step up.
"He'll be with me 90 per cent of the time, while Les Taylor will be in charge of the youth team," he said.
"Les will be working with me as well, with aspects like scouting, player recruitment and match analysis.
"Bobby Roberts will remain my chief scout."
Patterson added: "Mickey is very professional and I'm delighted he'll be helping me.
"He is a strong No 2, is trustworthy, loyal and has a good nature.
"This is a tough job, but he will put his heart and soul into it.
"I like working with him. I don't use the word legend lightly, but Mickey is an Oxford United legend.
"He has so much enthusiasm for the game and has a real passion for this football club."
Patterson took time out to praise the efforts of the U's youth team who reached the second round of the FA Youth Cup before losing 2-1 at Stevenage - and missed out on a tie with Chelsea.
"I'm very disappointed for them," he said.
"I thought they did the club proud.
"The youth team's attitude has been excellent. They have a healthy respect for opponents, but not too much. Mickey has looked after them well."
