MATTY Taylor will stay at Oxford United until the end of the season after his loan was extended today.
United's top goalscorer was due to return to parent club Bristol City last month, but will now remain with Karl Robinson's side until the final game of the campaign.
Sky Bet League One clubs are due to vote on how to end the season next week, with United set to contest the play-offs even if the remaining matches are not played.
And securing the services of the striker, who hit 17 goals before the campaign was suspended in March, is a huge boost for Robinson.

He said: “It’s great timing for us after the disappointment of Nathan Holland going back.
"Matty means a lot to us as a group because of his personality and the way he has bought into the philosophy and culture of Oxford United.
"We want to thank Bristol City for helping make this happen and I’m sure the fans will welcome the news that when we do play again we will have Matty available.”
Taylor joined United on a season-long loan in August, but the terms did not cover the extension to the campaign forced by the coronavirus lockdown.
The 30-year-old, whose contract with City expires at the end of this month, notched six times as Robinson's side won their last five matches before the season was halted.
