Reigning champion Steven Sheard, of the Nelson, came through his opening match in the Oxford & District League's singles competition with a 2-0 victory against Masons' Alan Lowe.
Sheard recorded breaks of 9,110 and 19,460 in his 29,010-3,030 aggregate victory.
Horse & Harrow's Gary Johnson went through with a 2-0 victory against Corner House's Jason Cattermole.
Johnson played out the table in his first game, amassing 20,390 points.
Keith Sheard also had a 2-0 victory against Horse & Harrow's Ian Moquet.
Sheard won the first game 18,210-2,530, but in a remarkable second game, he played out the table, scoring a sensational 27,220 points in just 19 minutes!
Didcot's Dennis Atkins saw off Gladiators' Phil Clark, while Corner House's Ian Moss defeated Horse & Harrow's Maxi McDonnell.
