Chipping Norton's director of rugby Andy Dawson was pleased with another victory for his side.
He said: "It was a typical cup tie full of passion and belief.
"If we had been playing this match last year, we wouldn't have won it.
"They didn't have the confidence to play with width before.
"We perhaps kicked once or twice too often, but we did look to move the ball.
"The plan was always to take away their driving maul and we managed to do that.
"The last two or three times we have come here we have lost narrowly and by beating us at the end of the season, they sent us down.
"It is nice to win a tight one instead.
Grove coach Neil Osborne said: "Chippy were well-organised and disciplined whereas our game management and referee management was a bit poor.
"We scored on both occasions we really got into their half after the break.
"I experimented with three or four players I wouldn't use normally.
"I've got to go away now and think about their performances and analyse it from there.
"But take nothing away from Chippy, they deserved to win."
