A hat-trick from Adam Bailey sent North Leigh crashing to their second Premier Division defeat of the campaign in the Hellenic league on Saturday and propelled Milton to sixth place.
Milton struck first blood when Matty Shelton's corner was cleared to the edge of the area from where Dwight Jones drove high into the net.
Although the visitors had most of the possession, Bailey struck twice in the final five minutes of the half.
First, he pounced on a half-cleared Matty Shelton shot to make it 2-0.
Then he left five North Leigh defenders reeling as a comedy of errors led to his firing home at the second attempt after Richard Barrett blocked his first effort.
Chris Allen reduced the deficit on the hour, but all hopes of a North Leigh comeback were extinguished two minutes later as Bailey completed his hat-trick by converting a pinpoint cross from Gavin Jones.
A miserable day for North Leigh was completed five minutes from time when Milton substitute Jemel Johnson headed home Shelton's cross following a short corner.
Wantage Tn 2 (Hartley 11, 65)

Former Abingdon Town striker Gary Hartley scored twce against his old club to give give struggling Wantage a welcome derby win at Alfredian Park.
The recent departures of Mark Simms and Danny Wise, combined with a long injury list, made it a tricky test for Abingdon, who recalled Tommy Larman to partner Carl Bloomfield up front.
Wantage, who dominated play, took the lead after 12 minutes when Hartley headed home from close range.
The home side made it 2-0 as Hartley pounced from close range following a corner, and it took a good save from Town keeper Gareth Walker to deny him a hat-trick.
Abingdon were thrown a lifeline after 72 minutes when Aaron Williams curled a free-kick perfectly beyond the reach of Luke Alford and into the top corner to make it 2-1.
But Wantage held on for a deserved victory.

Bicester Tn 1 (Lovegrove 76) Bicester returned from Hereford with maximum points after a hard-fought win.
In the first half, Bicester went close through James Kyberd's header and shots from Ben and Andy Styles.
In the second half, Williams outstripped his marker and clipped the ball to the far post where substitute Adam Lovegrove tapped in the winning goal.
Lydney Tn 2 (Clarke 35, 63)
Hook Norton 0
FOR the second week running, Hook Norton flattered to deceive.
Fielding debutants - goalkeeper Dave Warner and former Thame player Shaun Lambourne - Hooky competed well for the first half-hour.
But Lydney then took the lead when Danny Clarke headed the ball over Warner at the left post.
The result was settled when Clarke scored his second goal, as he ran in from the left wing and hit a high shot into the far corner of the net
