Oxford United fan Dan Leach has divided loyalties today - because he's one of the 20,000 MyFootballClub members who have paid £35 for a stake in Ebbsfleet United.
The 18-year-old from Eynsham (pictured right), said: "Of course I'm interested in seeing how they do, but I've been an Oxford fan for the last five years and I want them to win - they need the points more!"
He added: "I know two or three other Oxford supporters who have become MyFootballClub members and we're quite happy that Ebbsfleet is the club chosen.
"The Blue Square Premier's a good level of football and it's not too far so we should be able to get to see quite a few of their games.
"I don't know if it will ever get to be the fans picking the team, but I think there will be times when we can advise the manager. It will be interesting."
Ebbsfleet skipper Paul McCarthy, the former U's defender, doesn't believe the decision to give supporters a 51 per cent controlling stake will affect any of the players' futures.
McCarthy said: "We have been assured that it is business as normal. The gaffer (Liam Daish) has been very positive.
"In our league you need to have more funds available."
