OXFORD City Stars duo Nick Eden and Grant Bailey will be aiming to sink their old mates when they travel to Swindon Wildcats in the English National League South Division A tomorrow.
oLast season, Eden and Bailey played for Swindon, but decided to move in the summer as they felt their prospects were better at Oxford.
It will add extra spice to the derby clash, and Oxford coach Darryl Morvan is urging as many Stars fans to travel down the A420 as possible.
Victory would see Oxford leapfrog Swindon by a point and with a game in hand.
"This will be a difficult fixture against a Swindon team that has developed a lot since our last meeting," said Morvan whose side did the league double over Swindon last season.
"Both ourselves and Swindon boast players who have, at one time or another, played for both sides, so it will add a bit of spice to the fixture.
"And after we won both contests last year, I am sure Swindon will be looking to redress the balance."
Next weekend, Oxford host Swindon in the return fixture.
Morvan added: "I am confident that our two matches against Swindon will be intense affairs, and it would definitely help if as many of our fans as possible could make the trip to Swindon to support us this week."
Stars are boosted by the return of skipper Darren Elliott, who suffered concussion against Peterborough a few weeks ago, along with Will Skaife and Grant Bailey, who missed last week's home game against Telford Tigers.
Acting captain Dave Carr is back on the ice after having treatment to his lower lip and teeth after being hit in the mouth with a Telford stick.
Ady Haigh and Alan Green face late fitness tests.
