Oxford University are likely to continue with their front-row impact policy all the way to Twickenham.
With a number of options available, director of rugby Steve Hill has been replacing his both his props and hooker at half-time.
This continued during the Dark Blues' 34-17 victory over Major Stanley's XV with Dan Rosen, Kevin Davis and Richard Matthews replacing Winston Cowie, Rupert Allhusen and Ricky Lutton.
Prop Ollie Tomaszczyk, a starter last year, didn't make the squad of 22.
Hill said: "We have got five props and two hookers who are capable of starting the Varsity Match.
"We can get 80 minutes' effort out of the first front row in 40 minutes.
'It is definitely in our thoughts to use this system as you get a real impact."
Speaking further on the Stanley's match, Hill said: "Chris Mahony was very dangerous for us and I thought Dylan Alexander had another strong game after returning from injury.
"Stanley's had a pretty tough front five, but our scrum held up really well."
