Oxford's women secured the local bragging rights after defeating Witney Angels 7-5 at Hailey Road in Midlands 1.
Witney's bigger pack gave them an early advantage and they took the lead following a rolling maul from 15 metres out.
Teresa Godfrey applied the finishing touch and Witney maintained their momentum after the break.
Angels crossed the line three times, but Oxford managed to hold them up.
Oxford rallied and claimed the spoils to go second in the table when Katy Amos scored under the posts and Alice Massey converted.
