Lynn Evans says Chinnor have still got plenty of work to do if they are to win promotion back to National 3 South.

Chinnor's director of rugby has seen his players win nine straight matches in South West 1, culminating with their best performance yet against Maidenhead.

But he knows they cannot afford to get complacent.

Evans said: "We still missed a number of three -on-one or two-on-ones against Maidenhead.

"Players were releasing the ball a bit too late at times.

"We have got to work a bit more on that as we could have had 14 more points.

"Bracknell will still be our main rivals so we've got to cut that points difference down.

"We have got to build on what we have done. There are going to be some difficult tests to come.

"We've got to keep developing our game."

Evans also pointed out recent improvements.

He said: "We showed how to play into the wind in the second half against Maidenhead. We mixed it up quite well.

"The other thing we have worked on is improving our angles of running.

"We have more lateral movement now, so players can hit the line effectively."
