Oxford City's longest ever run in the FA Women's Cup came to an end with a 3-1 defeat at Plymouth Argyle in round two.
City had come through four rounds to get there and took the lead against a Plymouth side, who were unbeaten at home all season.
Deanne Tomkins slotted past the Plymouth keeper after some neat build up play on 25 minutes.
City had chances to go further ahead, but two quick goals put Plymouth, who are in the league above, 2-1 up at half-time.
The second half saw City battle hard before conceding a third five minutes from time.
City host rivals Oxford United in the County Cup on Sunday (2pm kick off).
Carterton crashed 2-0 at home to Reading in Southern Region League Division 1.
They could not cope with Reading's fast pace, as they put in an error-strewn performance.
After a goalless first half, Reading took the lead when Lauren Welch outstripped the Carterton defence to steer home.
Tracey Beales made it 2-0 five minutes from time, and Carterton were grateful to an outstanding display by keeper Becky Elson, whose saves helped keep the score down.
Brize Norton held in-form Marlborough to a 1-1 draw in Division 3 of the Thames Valley League.
Marlborough went ahead in the second half, but Brize hit back when Kelly Matthews chipped the ball over the goalkeeper from just outside the area.
