BANBURY United have extended Greg Kaziboni’s loan spell until the end of the season as they continue their BetVictor Southern League Premier Central play-off bid.

The 26-year-old wide man will not be able to face parent club Tamworth on the final day of the campaign, but would be eligible to feature in any play-off matches if the Puritans finish in the top five.

Manager Mike Ford said: “We had Greg with us last year and he made the move to Tamworth.

“We managed to get him back on loan and we’re happy to have him here.

“He’s physically strong in this league and adds a bit of quality.”

Banbury’s midweek 4-2 home win over Needham Market has closed the gap on the play-offs to four points ahead of tomorrow’s visit of AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

Ford's side played the Northamptonshire outfit three times in the space of seven days in October, drawing away in the FA Trophy, but losing 2-1 in the replay and the league game.

The Puritans boss added: “I’d imagine they will come to us reasonably confident, as we played them three times and couldn’t win.

“They got the better of us in very tight games, but we are on a decent run with some momentum.

“We just need to continue to win games of football and make sure we give as good as we get.”

Defender Lee Henderson returns after missing the midweek win at Needham Market, but Pablo Haysham (knee) is out.

Boss Mark West says Thame United’s four-week break without a league game may mean his side are not match-fit for their trip to Barton Rovers in Division 1 Central.

He said: “The break has been really long, and although we’ve had a couple of friendlies, that’s not the same as competitive matches.

“Although the extended break gave us a chance to recharge the batteries, not having a competitive match for so long means we may have lost a bit of sharpness.

“It will be lovely to have a proper game again.”

Striker Dan West (knee) is a doubt and Carl Davies (ankle) remains sidelined, while Tom Ashworth and Matt Peake-Pijnen are away.

West added: “Barton ran us really close at our place, and they score a lot of goals.

“We will have to make sure we defend properly and not give away sloppy goals.”

After keeper Craig Hill left to join Corby Town, West has re-signed 18-year-old Fred Chapman and recruited Chris Rackley to compete for the No 1 Jersey.

Chapman had a successful spell at Thame on loan from Maidenhead United earlier in the season, while Rackley played in Thatcham Town’s FA Vase win at Wembley in 2018.

North Leigh visit fourth-placed Welwyn Garden City with the top ten in their sights.

After another postponement due to last weekend’s heavy rain, the Millers have up to three matches in hand on those above them.

Manager Craig Dore said: “We know what a good side they are. We beat them earlier in the season at our place, but they were the better side to be fair, so we know we have our work cut out.”

Callum McNish (hamstring) is out, but Elliott Osborne-Ricketts returns.

Didcot Town manager Jamie Heapy has urged his side to produce one final burst in the last 12 games of the season as they travel to Biggleswade.

He said: “We’ve had a few games off recently with all the wet weather, but we have a busy last couple of months of the season, and there is still plenty to play for.

“We want to finish the season as strongly as we can, and we’ve proved with recent results that we are capable of doing so.”

Jack Longford (hamstring) is a doubt, while Kieran Collins is struggling with a knee injury.

Cameron McNeill is suspended.

Kidlington are at AFC Dunstable, with Mark Flanagan and Tobias London unavailable and Tommy Castle still out injured.

Boss Ben Sadler said: “Saturday will be a very tough game, but we need to build on our positive performance against Corby, and get on the front foot early.”

Dan James (knee) is a doubt for Wantage Town’s trip to Corby Town, while Owen Shaw is out.
