IT was another frustrating weekend for teams in the Oxfordshire Senior League, with all but one game called off.
The only match that went ahead was a mid-table clash in Division 2, as Charlton United Res played out a 0-0 draw with Garsington Res.
Among the fixtures postponed was Premier Division leaders Cropredy’s match at home to second-placed Marston Saints, who are just two points behind them.
It was a similar story with the Oxford City FA schedule, although both matches to beat the weather were thrillers.
Union Street fought back from 3-0 down to reach the CJL Cup semi-final with a 5-4 triumph over Chequers FC.
Union Street cancelled out their three-goal deficit, before Chequers struck for the fourth time to restore their lead.
But they were not to be denied and secured a memorable triumph with two late strikes.
In the league, Sporting Headington beat Oxford Leys 4-3 in a seven-goal classic.
