WITH yet another weekend badly affected by the poor weather, only two games survived the latest deluge in the North Berks League, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.
Watlington Town Res booked their place in the North Berks League Cup final when they beat fellow Division 3 side Marcham Res 2-1.
Jaiden Hawkins and Andy Gray were on target for Watlington, while Dan Osborne replied for the home side.
Watlington will now meet either Letcombe Res or Drayton Res in the final at Lambourn Sports on April 18.
In league action, Dorchester got back to winning ways with a 4-1 triumph over Hagbourne United Res in Division 2.
Hagbourne dominated the opening exchanges, only for Dorchester to go in front from a counter-attack goal from Jordan Smith.
Zac Corderoy wasted a great opportunity to double the lead when he missed from the penalty spot, but he made amends moments later when he fired home to put his side 2-0 up.
Early in the second half, Jordan Lyne added No 3, before Hagbourne pulled a goal back through Grant Shears.
But their hopes were quickly ended when Ashley Stevens made it 4-1 to secure the points.
