NORTH Berks League outfit Watlington Town booked their place in the semi-finals of the Oxfordshire Charity Cup after an extraordinary 19-18 triumph on penalties over Witney & District FA side Hailey. The match, which was switched to Watlington due to Hailey’s ground being unplayable, finished 3-3 at the end of normal time. Jake Braim (2) and Jon Little netted for Watlington, with Hailey replying through Jack Wood, Freddie Buckingham and Ryan Lewis to force a shoot-out. No-one would have expected the incredible number of penalties that followed. And with the shoot-out locked at 18-18 after virtually two complete rounds of penalties each, Watlington made it 19-18 before 54-year-old goalkeeper Chuck Sellwood saved a sudden-death spot-kick to send his side into the last four.
