Jae Sharkey fired a
hat-trick as Marston Saints beat Kirtlington 5-2 in the Oxfordshire Charity Cup quarter-final.
Nick Thorne defied the conditions to put the visitors 1-0 up inside 15 minutes, before Samuel Hoggard’s header levelled the scores at half-time.
The home side took the lead through Nathan Kelly, but Saints hit back with four goals in the final 20 minutes.
Sharkey changed the game with a quickfire treble, lobbing the goalkeeper for his first strike.
The same player scored twice more in quick succession, before Luke Cuff came off the bench to complete victory.
In Division Two of the Oxfordshire Senior League, Launton Sports Res drew 1-1 with struggling Horspath Res.
Tom O’Malley cancelled out a Luke Moss strike to give Horspath a valuable point, but they remain at the wrong end of the table.
