SAXTON Rovers Res beat Division 2 title rivals Grove Rangers 2-0 in the North Berks League to cement their lead at the top of the table.
The visitors made a bright start with Bryn Ingram and Jonny James going close, but Saxton went in front when Archie Smith crossed for Michael Smith to slot into the net.
Both sides struggled to create many chances as the wind picked up during the second half, before Saxton secured victory when Josh Harper took a touch and fired in from close range.
In Division 1, Hagbourne United missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Berinsfield as they were held 1-1 at Drayton.
Pat Walsh scored for the hosts, with Ross McDonald on the mark for Hagbourne.
Saxton Rovers moved up to second with a 1-0 victory at Long Wittenham, Frankie Haines bagging the only goal.
Strikes from Dan Hill and Cameron Langan gave East Hendred a 2-0 win at Steventon, while Lambourn Sports and Cholsey United drew 0-0.
Division 3 leaders Watlington Town Res were held to a 2-2 draw at home against Benson Lions.
Jack Young and Kyle Carrigan netted for Watlington, with James Ireland and Dan Hine replying.
Letcombe Res hammered Faringdon Town A 7-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Tom Beal and further goals from Kye Franklin (2), Ross Lawrence and Nathan Haresnape.
Meanwhile, Berinsfield booked their place in the semi-finals of the Oxfordshire Intermediate Cup with a 4-0 win over North Oxford.
Their goals came from Max Palmer, who hit a hat-trick, and Howard Hawkins.
