JIM Littlewood suffered a horrific injury which marred Milton’s 3-2 victory over Minster Lovell in the Witney & District FA Premier Division.
Littlewood sustained a double break of his leg which and was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he has now had surgery.
It was only Milton’s second league win of the season, which moved them off the foot of the table.
Littlewood had earlier scored one of Milton’s goals, with Stephen Pearce and Alex Ayres also on target, while Minster replied through Johnny Fletcher and Ryan Stockford.
Hailey closed the gap on leaders Carterton as they saw off Charlbury Town 3-1.
Jack Wood, Tom Gregory and Freddie Buckingham scored Hailey’s goals, with Charlbury replying through Stefan Lang.
Goals from Jamie Harris, Sam Britnell and Luke Bolley gave Tower Hill a 3-1 win over visitors Carterton Rangers, who hit back through George Westley.
In Division 1, Enstone went top thanks to their 1-0 win over Chadlington.
Andy McCabe scored the only goal of the contest.
Middle Barton cruised to a 4-0 win at Kingham All Blacks.
John Umney led the way with a brace, while James Kyberd and Jack Kay were also on target.
Bletchingdon lost their 100 per cent league record in Division 3 as FC Mills ran out 2-1 winners.
Richard Wells netted for the runaway leaders, but a Steve Carvey strike and an own goal gave Mills a shock victory.
